EDUCATE

By far, the largest obstacle in Rusk County is a lack of spaying and neutering. We are working towards having low cost options in the area so that every pet is taken care of, and to reduce the number of unwanted puppies and kittens taken to city facilities every week.

Microchipping helps return pets to their families. This easy, inexpensive form of identification can save lives.

Tags are a visible from of identification that can allow a good Samaritan to return your pet quickly.

Rusk County Pets Alive also offers the PEP program for students on care and handling skills of companion animals. Presenters are available for school groups, after school clubs, and church groups. Please email us at ruskcountypetsalive@gmail.com for more information or to schedule a presentation.
