Transport

We have a Dodge Pro Master City Van that we transport animals from the Henderson Animal Center to other rescues or connections for longer transports. These are normally 1-3 hour trips (oneway). Transporting is one of the top avenues for getting dogs and cats out of the shelter and on their way to a home. Transport drivers are needed pretty much weekly. Example destinations are College Station, Franklin, Terrell, Austin, Dallas. If you enjoy driving, grab a cup of coffee and come on!

RCPA Transport Program

We started transporting with our own personal vehicles. Once we realized how big a roll transport played in saving lives we applied for grants and solicited for donations. In December of 2020 we received a grant from Henderson Memorial Hospital Foundation and donations from private donors to help us purchase a transport van.

Thanks to our many volunteers that drive for us we have saved hundreds of animals by transporting them out to other rescues and foster homes.
